Good for specific tools

I ordered a 'Robot pâtissier' and a 'Tapis de cuisson silicone'. The robot arrived in perfect condition and is really sturdy, definitely professional-grade as advertised. The silicone mat is also great quality. My only small gripe was that the delivery took 7 days, which felt a bit long for a domestic shipment, but it wasn't a huge deal. Overall, happy with the purchase, but maybe they could speed up shipping a little.

Good value for a starter kit

I was looking to get into baking more seriously without spending a fortune, so I tried their 'Kit de pâtisserie débutant'. It was on sale, which definitely caught my eye. The kit had a good mix of essentials like a 'Fouet de cuisine' and 'Poche à douille', plus a basic 'Livre de recettes'. For the price I paid, it felt like a solid deal. Everything felt decent quality, especially for a beginner. I was worried it might be flimsy since it was a kit, but it wasn't. It made my first venture into complex pastries much easier.

Consistent quality, fast delivery

Another great order from here. I picked up a new 'Moule à bûche' and some more 'Feuille de gélatine'. Everything arrived quickly, about 4 days to my door in California, and was packed well as usual. Their product quality has always been solid, which is why I keep coming back for my baking supplies. Never had an issue with anything I've bought from them.

How long does shipping usually take to, say, California? I'm trying to plan for a friend's birthday and need some molds.

S Susan Williams 2 days ago
US shipping can be a bit of a wait since it's coming from France. I'd say give it at least 2-3 weeks, maybe a bit more to be safe. Definitely not next-day stuff.

Mine took about 15 days to get to New York. If you're on a tight schedule, you might want to email them to see if there's a faster (but probably more expensive) option, otherwise just plan for a couple weeks minimum.

Wondering if those online courses are any good. Are they for beginners or more advanced stuff?

A Andrew Davis 2 weeks ago
I've heard they have a range. Some are definitely geared towards beginners, like basic techniques, but others delve into more complex pastries. Worth checking the course descriptions.

My friend took one of the online courses and loved it. She said it was really detailed and she learned a lot, even as someone who bakes a fair bit. I think they have kits to go with them too.

I'm thinking of getting a stand mixer, something like a KitchenAid, but I see they have 'Robot Pâtissier' here. How do these compare to mainstream brands?

A Abigail Turner 1 week ago
The 'Robot Pâtissier' they sell here is usually more focused on heavy-duty pastry work. It might not have all the fancy attachments a KitchenAid does, but it's built to last and handle denser doughs.

J James Thompson 6 days ago
It's probably more specialized. If you're doing a lot of bread or tough dough, it's likely beefier than a standard KitchenAid. For general baking, KitchenAid might be more versatile, but for serious pastry, this could be better.

What's the deal with returns? If a mold isn't quite what I expected, is it a huge hassle to send it back?

E Emily L. 3 weeks ago
I returned a couple of things once because I ordered the wrong size. It wasn't too bad, just had to pay for return shipping to France. They processed the refund pretty quickly once they got it.

Returns are usually okay, but since it's international, shipping it back can be a bit of a pain and expensive. Try to be super sure about what you're buying to avoid it.

Do they take PayPal? Or is it just credit cards and stuff like that?

A Ashley Gonzalez 1 month ago
Yep, I've paid with PayPal before, no problem. Super easy.

I think they accept most major credit cards and PayPal. You usually see the options at checkout.

Are the silicone molds actually good quality? Like, professional-grade stuff or just fancy-looking home baking gear?

J Jennifer 2 weeks ago
They are legit. The ones I got feel super sturdy and released everything perfectly. Definitely not like the flimsy silicone molds you find at regular stores.

N Nathan Roberts 1 week ago
From what I hear, these are the same kind of molds pastry chefs use. Way different from what you get at Target. They hold up really well.

Hey guys, has anyone used the discount code for first-time buyers? Just wondering if it actually works or if there are a ton of exclusions.

M Matt W. 1 month ago
Yeah, I used it a few months ago for my first order. It worked fine, I think it was 10% off. Just make sure your cart doesn't have any sale items already, sometimes they don't combine.

Z Zach Parker 1 month ago
It usually applies, but sometimes if you're trying to buy something that's already part of a 'pack offer' or a 'flash sale' it might not stack. Check the fine print when you apply it in the cart.

Does anyone know if the 'free shipping over 50 euros' deal applies to US orders? Or is that just for European customers?

J Jeff L. 1 month ago
I'm pretty sure that's mostly for inside Europe. For US orders, shipping costs are usually calculated separately because it's international.
5
N Nathan P. 1 month ago
Nah, I've never gotten free shipping to the US, even with big orders. It's almost always a separate charge because of customs and distance, unfortunately.
